Overview: Welcome to Little Potters, a delightful and engaging art camp designed specifically for children to explore the world of clay hand building. This camp offers a playful and educational experience, perfect for young minds eager to delve into the art of clay. Over the course of the camp, children will learn the fundamentals of working with clay, transforming simple lumps of earth into wonderful creations.

Camp Highlights:

• Discovering Clay: Children will start their journey with an introduction to clay as a medium – its history, types, and the endless possibilities it offers for creative expression.
• Basic Techniques: Our experienced instructors will guide the little potters through the foundational techniques of clay hand building such as pinching, coiling, and slab building. These techniques are the building blocks for creating a variety of clay objects.
• Thematic Creations: Each day, children will embark on a new project, creating items that range from functional pottery like bowls and cups to imaginative figures and animals. The themes will be fun and child-friendly, encouraging creativity and storytelling.
• Texture and Decoration: Beyond shaping, children will also learn how to add textures and decorations to their creations using various tools and techniques, making each piece unique.
• Glazing and Painting: Towards the end of the camp, children will be introduced to the basics of glazing and painting, learning how to add color and vibrancy to their clay creations.
• Show and Tell: The camp will conclude with a show-and-tell session where children can proudly display their creations and share their experiences with family and friends.

Camp is from 9 to 12 Monday through Friday – Please pack a snack and a water bottle. If your child will be staying for the afternoon session Intro to the Pottery Wheel, please pack a nut-free lunch and an additional snack.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All camps at Paint ‘n Fun Ceramics are NON-REFUNDABLE. Failure to show up or cancel with less than 30 days’ notice will result in loss of payment and no account credit will be issued. Any management approved cancellations/reschedules will be provided in the form of Paint ‘n Fun Ceramics Account Credit ONLY. Paint ‘n Fun Ceramics Account credits must be redeemed within 90 days. Class minimums and registrations are required for us to order properly order supplies and provide proper staffing. Make-up days are not provided for days missed during our Camps. If we must cancel a camp due to low participation, you will be issued a credit that can be used for another camp during the current year.
