Clay Sorting Hat – Ages 10+

In this class, you will learn how to create your very own Sorting Hat from the famous Harry Potter series out of clay! Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process from start to finish. The class fee is $45 and it includes all the required materials and instructions for making the Sorting Hat. You will learn how to work with clay and use various techniques to shape and mold your clay into the iconic Sorting Hat, complete with its distinctive texture and detailing. Upon completion of shaping, the hat will be left with us for drying for two weeks to ensure that the clay dries properly and doesn’t crack. After two weeks, we will notify you via text that your Sorting Hat is ready to be picked up. Once you have the hat with you, you are free to paint it to your liking and give it your personal touch. You leave it with us for one more firing, we can add a shiny finish that will make the Sorting Hat truly sparkle! Our goal is to provide an inclusive and exciting environment where you can have fun while learning new skills in the art of clay sculpture. You will go home with a wonderful, handcrafted Sorting Hat that will be a unique addition to your collection or a thoughtful gift for a fellow Harry Potter fan! You may reschedule your ticket using our automated “Reschedule my Ticket” feature located on your ticket confirmation email and/or on the bottom of our website homepage with at least 3 business days notice. Ticketed events require advance preparation and significant staff time – we do not reschedule tickets with less than 3 business days notice – no exceptions.
