Culinary Creations Art Camp

Welcome to our "Culinary Creations" Art Camp, a unique and engaging experience for little artists with a flair for both art and the culinary world. This camp combines the fun of crafting with the excitement of culinary art, allowing participants to create their own cookware, bakeware, and drinkware, as well as explore various painting mediums, all inspired by culinary themes.

Stoneware Crafting: Dive into the world of stoneware clay where campers will design and create their own functional cookware and bakeware items. Learn hand-building techniques to shape clay into pots, pans, plates, and more.

Decorating Earthenware Pottery: Campers will also have the chance to paint pre-made earthenware pottery, adding a personal touch to dishes and utensils. This session focuses on painting techniques that are safe and effective for items used in dining and cooking.

Canvas Painting: Explore canvas painting with a culinary twist. Campers will create vibrant artwork depicting scenes and elements from the culinary world, learning about composition, color, and brushwork.

Watercolor Exploration: Delve into the delicate art of watercolor painting. Campers will create culinary-themed art, exploring techniques like blending and layering to bring out the beauty in food-related subjects.

Multimedia Art Projects: Campers will engage in multimedia art projects, combining various materials and techniques to create unique culinary-themed artworks. These projects encourage creativity and experimentation.

This camp is perfect for young artists who love to blend their passion for art with the culinary world. Our experienced instructors will provide step-by-step guidance, ensuring each camper develops their skills and unleashes their creativity. Note that no actual food will be included in this camp. Instead, the focus is entirely on the artistic representation and creation of culinary-themed items and art. All camps at Paint 'n Fun Ceramics are NON-REFUNDABLE. Failure to show up or cancel with less than 30 days’ notice will result in loss of payment and no account credit will be issued. Any management approved cancellations/reschedules will be provided in the form of Paint 'n Fun Ceramics Account Credit ONLY. Paint 'n Fun Ceramics Account credits must be redeemed within 90 days. Class minimums and registrations are required for us to order properly order supplies and provide proper staffing. Make-up days are not provided for days missed during our Camps. If we must cancel a camp due to low participation, you will be issued a credit that can be used for another camp during the current year.

Ceramic Tile Topped Table Art Camp

Welcome to our unique art camp where you'll have the opportunity to transform an existing table into a stunning piece of functional art. This camp is ideal for those who love both creativity and practical craftsmanship. Participants will focus on designing and creating a beautiful ceramic tile top for a pre-constructed table.

Designing Your Masterpiece: Begin by envisioning the design for your table's ceramic top. Learn about patterns, color coordination, and layout to create a harmonious and appealing design.

Glazing and Firing: Discover the vibrant world of ceramic glazes. You'll be guided in choosing the right colors and applying various glazing techniques. Once glazed, your tiles will be fired in the kiln, resulting in a professional and durable finish.

Tile Arrangement and Grouting: Learn the skill of tile arrangement on your table. This session involves placing your tiles in your desired pattern, ensuring they fit perfectly. You'll also learn the grouting process to achieve a smooth, finished surface.

Final Touches: The final step involves the careful affixing of your ceramic tiles onto the table. You'll learn the best practices for securing the tiles, ensuring a beautifully aligned and sturdy tabletop.

Our Teen Pottery Camp is like no other! 
Camp Highlights:

Wheel Throwing: Teens will learn the basics of wheel throwing, exploring techniques to create functional pottery pieces like bowls, cups, and vases.
Clay Hand Building: Diving into the tactile world of clay, participants will engage in hand building techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction to create both functional and sculptural works.
Mosaics: Introduction to the art of mosaics, where teens will design and create their own mosaic art pieces, learning about tile cutting, placement, and grouting.
Watercolor Techniques: Exploring the fluid and expressive nature of watercolor painting, focusing on techniques like blending, layering, and creating textures.
Canvas Painting: Covering a range of styles and techniques in canvas painting, allowing teens to express themselves on a larger scale and bring their creative visions to life.
Mixed Media Projects: Teens will experiment with mixed media, combining various techniques and materials learned throughout the camp to produce unique, multifaceted artworks.
Give your teen something fun to do this Summer!  Camp will run Monday through Friday from 1p to 5p each day. Please bring snacks and beverages.
