Craft a Unique Lizard-Shaped Planter: Stoneware Clay Hand-Building Workshop

Unleash your creativity in our specialized hand-building pottery class, where you will learn to sculpt, design, and finish a whimsical lizard-shaped planter. This engaging workshop is perfect for both beginners and experienced potters looking to add a playful touch to their garden or home décor.  This class is appropriate for Adults and Children ages 12+.

What You Will Learn:

  • Fundamentals of Stoneware Clay: Get hands-on with high-quality stoneware clay, understanding its properties and how best to manipulate it into durable, functional art.
  • Sculpting Techniques: Master the art of slab construction and coiling to bring the playful silhouette of a lizard to life. Learn how to add texture and details that mimic the natural scales and features of a lizard.
  • Decorative Finishing: Explore various decorating techniques including slip application, sgraffito, and sculpting to add lifelike details to your creation.

Take Home: By the end of the workshop, not only will you have gained a solid foundation in clay hand-building techniques, but you’ll also take home a charming, lizard-shaped planter (about 3 weeks after the workshop) an ideal habitat for your favorite plants or a delightful addition to your patio.

Cancellation Policy

Thank you for choosing our events. We understand that sometimes plans can change, and we strive to accommodate those changes as efficiently as possible. To ensure clarity and fairness for all our guests, we have outlined our cancellation policy below:

  1. Non-Refundable Tickets: All ticketed events are non-refundable. We carefully plan and prepare for each event based on the number of attendees, and as a result, we cannot offer refunds once a ticket has been purchased.
  2. Rescheduling with Notice: If you are unable to attend an event and would like to reschedule, you may do so by providing at least 3 business days’ notice. This notice period allows us to adjust our preparations accordingly. We do not accept rescheduling requests over the phone.
  3. How to Reschedule: To reschedule your ticket, please use our automated system. Visit our homepage, scroll to the bottom, and click on the link labeled “Reschedule My Ticket.” Follow the prompts to request a voucher for rescheduling your event. Alternatively, you can email us at paintnfunceramics@gmail.com to notify us in writing no less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled event and we will issue a voucher less a 30% convenience fee for us to manually issue the voucher. Again, we do not accept rescheduling requests over the phone.
  4. Voucher Validity: Upon rescheduling, you will receive a voucher valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Please use your voucher within this time frame, as it expires after 30 days.
  5. Using Your Voucher: Your voucher can be applied to book any future event of your choice, subject to availability. Keep in mind that the event must occur within the 30-day validity period of your voucher.

Event Reservation Insurance offers attendees’ peace of mind when booking tickets for our exclusive, non-refundable events. It ensures that your investment is protected in case of unexpected circumstances that may prevent you from attending. It also prevents our business from a loss due to circumstances that are neither your fault nor ours. We spend considerable time and effort preparing in advance for our events, which costs us time and money.

  1. Key Benefits:
    • Protection for your ticket purchase against unforeseen events.
    • Flexibility to reschedule your attendance without financial loss.
    • Assurance that your ticket investment is safeguarded.
  2. Coverage Details:
    • Rescheduling coverage for reasons such as illness, emergencies, or unforeseen obligations.
    • Options for rescheduling attendance without penalty for last-minute situations.
  3. Policy Terms and Conditions:
    • Reservation Insurance must be purchased at the same time your ticket is originally purchased. Ticket insurance cannot be added once ticket purchase is complete.
    • All of our ticketed events offered online can have ticket insurance added at the time of making your reservation. There is no refund of event reservation insurance if not used.
    • Details on how to file a claim: Your request for use of your ticket insurance must be made in writing via email to info@paintnfunceramics.com at least one hour prior to the event start time. We will not accept event reservation insurance claims over the phone or claims made less than one hour prior to the event – no exceptions.
  4. Cost:
    • Only $7.50 per ticket for Canvas Classes
    • Only $9.50 per ticket for Clay and Pottery Wheel Classes
    • Only $12.50 per ticket for Single Day Art Camps

    • Option to purchase event reservation insurance during the ticket booking process.

    • Event Reservation Insurance prevents our business from a loss due to your unexpected illness, emergency, or unforeseen obligation and saves you from losing your complete ticket investment. This helps to ensure that both you and our business are protected from loss.
